Rumor and Rationale #3

Rumor has it that Linda Darling is the owner of the piece of land on the corner of Hwy 34 and Denny School Road that is currently sporting a sign supporting the recall.

Why would she be in support of the recall?

Oh yes, Ms. Darling is one of the people this blogger noted earlier that has benefitted from being a staunch Jim Robinson supporter.

I know many people wish they could land a job as a Director of finances in a multi-million dollar budget enterprise with a simple Bachelors Degree. It just goes to show, it's not what you know, but who.

Why be surprised - it has always been who you know. Lebanon was founded on that principle and it was one of the reasons I let my son transfer to West Albany. From its leadership to hiring practices nothing has changed.

To check out who owns certain properties in Linn County, go to www.co.linn.or.us. Click under Depts/Services and then choose Assessor. You can then search by anyone's name or specific address under account detail. This gives details on every property in Linn County. It has some great info! I show only one property owned by Linda Darling in Lebanon, unless it is under a business name.

If you go out to Lou & Kim Masog's house on Oak Creek Way, off of South Main Street, there is also a large VOTE YES sign. It's not on their property, but if you've ever been out there, you know that they had a hand in it! It's obvious!

It's not on their property, you are correct, but it's their neighbor's (the Carter's) property, who live across from them. Ken Walling, Connie Schmidt's husband, has a huge sign in their field just past Rock Hill School. Joyce Weatherly has plastered her property on Agate Drive with MANY smaller signs....hope tax payers didn't have to pay for those signs, just like we had to pay for the recall election costs!!
