Theory # 1 - It's all about 3 votes

So what is all of the fuss about? Why has this division in the community?

It could be about Jim Robinson and his need for three votes on the Lebanon School Board to keep control of the school district.

He has often said that he does not need the community, he does not need the parents, he does not need the teachers, he does not need the students....

... he needs three votes... and he currently has lost them... he wants them back....

his friends are working hard to get them back....

It was easy when it was just "one rogue board member" (Rick Alexander)

It was in jeopardy when Winteer and Fisher were elected on a J.R. needs to go platform and Alexander was reelected with 75%.... but Mr. Robinson knew he only needed to sway one of those men and he chose the one who demonstrated weakness and the ability to confuse easily.

He got his third vote back in Fisher and could then dismiss Alexander and Wineteer and try to discredit them as self-interested.

Then (unfortunately for Mr. Robinson) Ms. Shimmin was elected and she was not going to be a puppet. She was immediately attacked by the anonymous blogger and people from the CARES group (see other postings).

Mr. Robinson's group of friends had to take over the fight more agressively to get that third vote back, but unfortunately in the midst of the storm Sherrie Sprenger had to bail or potentially lose the other election she wanted to win that had more power and influence.

She was replaced by a fourth vote on the opposite side.....

Now it is all about a small group of bullies trying to force their way back into control because they can't win on the merits of the issues.

It is not about good schools...
It is not about good community...
It is about 3 votes.
